Martha Williams was confirmed to lead the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS) by the U.S. Senate on Feb. 17.
Williams worked as an attorney for the Montana Department of Fish, Wildlife and Parks, then as deputy solicitor for parks and wildlife at the Department of the Interior, as a professor at the Blewett School of Law at the University of Montana, and most recently as the director of the Montana Department of Fish, Wildlife and Parks.
A swearing-in ceremony is expected to occur in the coming weeks.
