Legal Ledger Brief: USDA seeks grain committee nominations

USDA’s Agricultural Marketing Service (AMS) is seeking nominations to the USDA Grain Inspection Advisory Committee.

The committee meets twice a year to counsel AMS on programs and services it delivers under the U.S. Grain Standards Act.

The committee is made up of 15 members appointed by the secretary of agriculture, and represents the interests of grain producers, processors, consumers and other stakeholders.

Terms last three years and no member may serve successive terms.

Nominations may be submitted by using form AD-755 found on the AMS website at www.ams.usda.gov and emailing Kendra.C.Kline@usda.gov.

Forms may also be sent by fax to 202-690-2333.

For additional information, contact Kendra Kline at 202-690-2410, or by email.
