The Supreme Court of the United States has officially set two dates for two cases of particular importance to the ag industry: a case pertaining to waters of the United States (WOTUS) and a challenge to California’s Proposition 12.
The court will take up the cases in early October. The WOTUS case, Sackett v. Environmental Protection Agency, looks at the scope of WOTUS regarding private property, and Proposition 12 would define new standards for selling meat and egg products from animals in confinement.
