Ranchers-Cattlemen Action Legal Fund, United Stockgrowers of America (R-CALF USA) has released a guide for cattle producers to influence the enactment of two pieces of legislation regarding mandatory country of origin labeling (MCOOL) and the 50/14 proposal.
The toolkit breaks down the steps needed to pass the American Beef Labeling Act of 2021—which would reinstate MCOOL—as well as the 50/14 cattle market protection bill, which would mandate cash trade.
