President Joe Biden recently nominated Robert Bonnie as USDA’s under secretary for Farm Production and Conservation, a position formerly held by Bill Northey.
Bonnie previously served as the deputy chief of staff and the senior adviser for climate at USDA. He also served in the Obama administration as the under secretary for Natural Resources and Environment.
“He is one of the nation’s foremost authorities and leaders on working lands approaches to conservation and incentive-based climate and conservation practices for farmers, ranchers, foresters and landowners,” USDA Secretary Tom Vilsack said.
