Shortly after the confirmation hearing for Tom Vilsack to become USDA secretary, new members were named to the Senate Agriculture Committee.
The new committee will be evenly split with 11 Democratic and 11 Republican members.
The new Republican members include Sens. Roger Marshal (R-KS) and Tommy Tuberville (R-AL), who will join the returning members of the Senate Agriculture Committee.
New Democratic members of the Senate Agriculture Committee include Sens. Cory Booker (D-NJ), Ben Ray Lujan (D-NM) and Raphael Warnock (D-GA). Sen. Bob Casey (R-PA) has left the committee.
