Oregon State University Extension has developed a resource to assist livestock producers seeking to improve their pasture and grazing management.
A new course called Growing Farms: An Introduction to Pasture and Grazing Management is a free course that may be taken at any time and any pace.
The course covers a number of topics including: benefits of good management; how to assess the condition of your pasture; how grasses grow; basics of rotational grazing; renovating your pasture; and managing your pasture through the growing season.
The course may be accessed online at workspace.oregonstate.edu by searching for the course name.
