On Jan. 25, the Republican Steering Committee announced its recommendations of members to serve on the House Agriculture Committee.
Following the announcement, Agriculture Committee Leader Glenn “GT” Thompson (R-PA-15) welcomed the appointments saying: “Any farm or ranch operation requires a strong and highly effective farm team, and agriculture policy is no different. I’m honored to welcome these fearless and qualified advocates to the House Agriculture Committee. The diverse expertise, backgrounds, and districts of our new and returning members will be a valuable asset as we work to restore a robust rural economy and begin crafting the next farm bill.”
New committee members include: Reps. Michelle Fischbach (R-MN-7), Tracey Mann (R-KS-1), Randy Feenstra (R-IA-4), Michael Cloud (R-TX-27), Kat Cammack (R-FL-3), Barry Moore R-AL-2), and Mary Miller (R-IL-15).
