The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service is extending the comment period on proposed National Environmental Policy Act changes.
The original deadline was set for Aug. 12 and has been extended until Aug. 26.
The proposed rule would simplify the use of national forests and maintenance, at a lower cost.
