The National Cattlemen’s Beef Association (NCBA) recently sent a letter to the House Ways and Means Committee and the Senate Finance Committee, expressing concern with changes to federal tax policy and how it may impact family-owned agricultural businesses.
The letter was sent on behalf of the Tax Aggie Coalition, made up of nearly 330 trade associations representing family-owned food, agriculture and related businesses.
“As the economic backbone of nearly every county and rural community across the U.S., the importance of American agriculture and related industries cannot be overlooked,” the letter read.
It concluded with urging Congress to “preserve the federal tax provisions that have long supported American agriculture.”
