The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMSCA) announced it will be extending its Hours-of-Service Emergency Declaration through Feb. 28, 2021.
The extension was previously extended through Dec. 31, but the agency decided to further extend the hours-of-service exemption “because the presidentially declared emergency remains in place and because a continued exemption is needed to support direct emergency assistance for some supply chains.”
The declaration includes livestock and finished livestock feed; COVID-19 medical supplies and equipment; vaccines and products related to the COVID-19 vaccination; community COVID-19 safety products such as masks and disinfectants; and food and other groceries for emergency restocking of stores.
