Laura Daniel-Davis, the nominee for the position of assistant secretary for land and minerals management in the Department of the Interior (DOI), attended a rare second nomination hearing with the Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee.
Daniel-Davis’ first hearing was in September, and the committee voted 10-10 on her nomination, along party lines.
“If confirmed, I will work hard to support the bureaus as they implement their programs and address the important infrastructure needs of society,” she said at the hearing.
GOP committee members remain opposed to her nomination, citing her role in the administration’s handling of federal oil and gas leases.
