The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) has released a draft environmental assessment (EA) regarding excess wild horses and burros in the Nevada Wild Horse Range Herd Management Area.
The 10-year EA will be available for comment until June 29. The EA will be used for facilitating gathers, removals, and fertility control of excess wild horses and burros, according to a BLM released statement.
The EA can be viewed at https://go.usa.gov/xvhsG and comments may be submitted to blm_nv_sndo_whb_nwhr_gathers@blm.gov or sent in writing to the BLM Southern Nevada District Office, ATTN: Nevada Wild Horse Range HMA EA, 4701 N. Torrey Pines, Las Vegas, NV 89130.
A hard copy of the EA is available upon request from the BLM Southern Nevada District Office. Before submitting comments, please be aware any comments may be publicly available, including any personal information included in the comment.
