Legal Ledger Brief: AZ wolf authority bills

Arizona Rep. David Cook (R-08-Globe) introduced House Bill (HB) 2181, which would strip state wildlife officials of their authority to stop the killing of Mexican gray wolves in certain circumstances.

HB 2181 would allow a person to take a wolf that was actively threatening or attacking a person, livestock or a domestic animal.

The bill passed the Arizona House and awaits the Senate’s decision.
