The American Farm Bureau Federation, all 50 state Farm Bureaus and the Puerto Rico Farm Bureau recently submitted a letter to Biden administration officials, requesting assistance with illegal immigration.
The groups wrote that farm and ranch families on the southern border are being negatively impacted by “the surge on the border.” The letter offered examples such as cut fences, destroyed crops, vandalism, compromised water sources and more.
“Local and state border security resources have been exhausted, leaving little help for farmers and ranchers,” the letter read. “We respectfully request federal authorities work promptly to provide additional resources and enforce legal immigration to secure U.S. borders.”
