Following oral arguments on Jan. 8, U.S. District Court Judge Gloria Navarro ruled the trial of Cliven Bundy, two of his sons, and a fourth man in connection with the 2014 Bunkerville standoff at Bundy’s ranch a mistrial “with prejudice.” As reported in the Jan. 1 issue of WLJ, Navarro had earlier declared the case a mistrial owing to the behavior of the federal prosecution, which withheld thousands of pages of evidence. By concluding that the case was a mistrial “with prejudice,” this blocks the government from pursuing another trial against the four men.
