The USDA’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) announced Johnsonville LLC is recalling approximately 22,672 pounds of cheddar bratwurst due to possible hard plastic contamination.

The affected product is a 19-ounce package of “Johnsonville Brats Cheddar Bratwurst,” produced on Feb. 5 and marked with code “B9FOD” and establishment number “Est. 1647.”

These bratwursts were distributed to retailers in 10 states: Georgia, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Michigan, Minnesota, Ohio, Tennessee, Virginia and Wisconsin.. FSIS warns that some packages may still be in consumers’ freezers. Consumers are urged not to eat the product and should discard or return it immediately.
