On June 13, JBS began trading on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) under the ticker symbol “JBS.”
Shares opened at $13.65, and as of June 18, were sitting at about $14. The company now lists shares on both the NYSE and Brazil’s B3 stock exchange.
“Our presence on the NYSE is a strategic move to optimize our capital structure and broaden our investor base,” said Guilherme Cavalcanti, JBS chief financial officer.
