Jack Daniel’s ends Cow Feeder Program

There are a number of beef processing facilities planning to open or expand in the near future

The Jack Daniel’s distillery in Moore County, TN, provided its corn byproduct to local livestock operations at zero or low cost through the Cow Feeder Program, giving them affordable feed while helping the company dispose of waste.

According to local news outlet WTVF, the partnership will end on March 31, as Jack Daniel’s redirects the byproduct to Three Rivers Energy, which converts it into renewable gas and fertilizer. The change affects most of the county’s farms, but the company said that the move supports its long-term sustainability goals and fulfills its obligations to supply 350,000-500,000 gallons daily.
