Clinton, IA-based Naeve Family Beef has announced on its Facebook page that it is temporarily ceasing operations effective immediately.

“We regret to inform you that our plant will be temporarily ceasing operations effective immediately,” the statement read. “Although we continue to work towards a solution to continue operations, we are unable to keep processing at the facility at this time.”

The family said they will keep its retail outlet, Meat and Greet, open and maintain its website.

“We have been humbled by the support we have received as we realized our dream of being a trusted source of high-quality beef to our customers and neighbors.”

The sixth-generation producers opened a 22,000-square-foot facility capable of processing up to 60 head per day for their branded-beef program.
