The Clean Water Act case against Bruneau, ID, ranch Ace Black Ranches has been delayed by 60 days to give the Trump administration time to decide if it will continue to pursue the case.

The U.S. District Court for the District of Idaho granted a motion on March 27 to delay the case until the end of May. The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has alleged the ranch violated the Clean Water Act by making alternations near the Bruneau River and wetlands. The court previously dismissed the suit against the ranch, deciding the agency did not comply with the Supreme Court’s ruling in Sackett v. EPA.

The EPA filed an amended complaint including before-and-after photos of the alleged sand and gravel operations.
