Idaho Attorney General Raúl Labrador announced his office will appeal a decision to approve the proposed Lava Ridge Project near Twin Falls, ID.

“I think it’s good that the counties, and even some local members of the community, are going to be filing lawsuits,” Labrador said during the Idaho Legislature’s Committee on Federalism meeting held recently. “I’ve never discouraged them to do that.”

Magic Valley Energy originally proposed to build up to 400 wind turbines on Bureau of Land Management public lands in southern Idaho, but the latest approved plan reduced the number to 241.
