USDA’s Rural Development is calling for grant applications from organizations to assist agricultural producers in applying for funding through the Rural Energy for America Program (REAP).

This initiative aims to reduce energy expenses and enhance energy efficiency in rural regions. These funds are designated to support various activities, including assisting rural agricultural producers and small business owners with applying for REAP funding, providing guidance on enhancing energy efficiency and utilizing renewable energy technologies, conducting necessary energy assessments and audits, aiding in planning and developing renewable energy or energy efficiency projects, and assisting with the completion of environmental reports and documentation required for application submissions.

Eligible recipients for these grants encompass a range of entities, including state, Tribal, or local governments and for-profit and nonprofit organizations. Applications must be submitted by March 15 at www.grants.gov.
