The USDA has opened new enrollment opportunities for the Conservation Reserve Program (CRP), with the Farm Service Agency (FSA) accepting offers for both General and Continuous CRP through June 6.
With 1.8 million acres available this fiscal year and a 27-million-acre cap in place, FSA Administrator Bill Beam emphasized the importance of prioritizing quality conservation. Rather than focusing on the quantity of acres offered, Beam said the agency is targeting projects that address critical natural resource concerns.
Interested producers should apply at their local FSA office.
