USDA’s Colorado Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) and Western Landowners Alliance are offering $2.5 million in funding for agricultural producers in counties affected by significant livestock losses due to wolves and other large carnivores.

Producers can apply for funds to implement land management practices like range riding, carcass management and electric fencing to enhance livestock safety and mitigate conflicts. Applications must be submitted to local USDA Service Centers by 4 p.m. on Feb. 7. A webinar on Jan. 17 will provide an overview of the program and answer questions.

Registration is available at tinyurl.com/3asyke4a. If you have questions, contact Matthew Collins at 505-466-1495 or matt@westernlandowners.org
