The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has extended the deadline on the comment period seeking public comments on a proposed regulation intended to “strengthen the transparency of EPA regulatory science.” The proposed regulation, in summary, would ensure that the scientific studies and literature on which future EPA regulations are based are available to the public. Comments were originally due May 30, but the comment period has been extended to Aug. 16. Online comments are preferred, according to the EPA. Comments can be submitted online here. — WLJ
