The Department of the Interior’s Office of Natural Resources Revenue announced $14.61 billion in fiscal year 2025 disbursements from energy production on federal and Tribal lands and offshore areas.
The funding supports infrastructure, education, emergency services, conservation, reclamation and historic preservation nationwide. This marks the fifth-largest disbursement since 1982, though totals declined from last year due to lower commodity prices.
Disbursements included $4.07 billion to 34 states, $2.98 billion to the Reclamation Fund, $1.05 billion to the Land and Water Conservation Fund, $1 billion to Tribes and individual Indian mineral owners, and $150 million to the Historic Preservation Fund.
