After months of speculation, a new video confirms that at least three wolf pups were born to the Copper Creek Pack in Grand County, CO.

Captured by Mike Usalavage and shared by Colorado Parks and Wildlife (CPW), the footage shows three healthy pups born to a reintroduced male and female last year.

“We received this video and our wolf biologists have reviewed and confirmed the validity of the video,” CPW said on social media.

According to local news outlet 9News, CPW spokesperson Rachael Gonzales noted that the minimum number of pups is considered to be three, though more could exist. Typically, wolf litters consist of four to six pups.

“We encourage anyone who believes they have seen a wolf to complete the Wolf Sighting Form,” CPW wrote. “This information will help our biologists monitor wolves and their movement in Colorado.”
