The Council on Environmental Quality announced last week that it is planning to update the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA). The office is soliciting comments from stakeholders. The call for comments specifically seeks input on how or should the NEPA process be revised to ensure environmental reviews are done in a timely manner and in cooperation with all involved agencies. The call for comments also seeks input on ways to improve the format and presentation of NEPA documents, inclusivity, and efficiency. Comments can be submitted online, and more information is available, at www.regulations.gov, searching Docket ID CEQ-2018-0001. Comments are due by mid-July. — WLJ
