The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) has opened a public comment period on a plan for recreation management on public lands.
The new Blueprint for 21st Century Outdoor Recreation will guide BLM decisions in meeting demands for recreation on public lands.
“BLM hosted more than 81 million visitors on our public lands last fiscal year—a 40 percent increase since 2012,” said BLM Director Tracy Stone-Manning in a statement.
“The Blueprint aims to help BLM meet the growing demand for exceptional recreation experiences on our public lands.”
The blueprint can be read in its entirety at tinyurl.com/3edubkne. Comments can be emailed to blm_hq_recreation_feedback@blm.gov by Sept. 30.
