The Colorado Department of Agriculture (CDA) is looking for a brand commissioner to oversee the state’s billion-dollar livestock industry.
The brand commissioner will manage a $4.7 million budget and assist in advising the Colorado State Board of Stock Inspection Commissioners and the CDA in developing and implementing policies to protect the state’s livestock industry. The position is also responsible for issuing sale barn and alternative livestock licenses and administering the issuance, renewal, transfer and cancellation of the state’s 30,000-plus livestock brands.
