Law enforcement agencies in Delta and Montrose counties in western Colorado are investigating the shooting deaths of cattle found on Dec. 29, 2024, along 25 Mesa Road, just south of the Delta County line.

According to local news outlet KKTV, authorities believe the shootings occurred between 4 and 10 a.m. and are working to identify the suspect or suspects responsible. Anyone with information is urged to contact Montrose County Crime Stoppers at 970-249-8500 or Delta County Crime Stoppers at 970-874-8810.

“Crime Stoppers wants your information, not your name and successful tips may result in a cash award,” said the Delta County Sheriff’s Office.
