A trailer carrying 83 head of cattle overturned Sept. 16 on the Baird Farm Road overpass over Interstate 30 in Arlington, TX, resulting in the deaths of at least 40 head, according to local news outlet WFAA.

The accident occurred when the driver misjudged the turn space, which caused the trailer to tip over. Arlington police and fire departments closed Baird Farm Road for the investigation and recovery efforts.

By morning, the trailer was removed, and some cattle were transferred to smaller trailers, though one animal was struck by another vehicle.
