The California Air Resources Board (CARB) has released a fact sheet detailing requirements for agricultural vehicles under CARB’s Clean Truck Check regulation.

This regulation applies to most non-gasoline vehicles, including diesel, with a gross vehicle weight rating over 14,000 pounds operating in California. An “agricultural vehicle” is defined as one owned or operated by a farming business, used exclusively in agricultural operations, and transporting products to the first point of processing.

Emissions compliance testing starts on Oct. 1, with deadlines beginning Jan. 1, 2025, to require passing a Clean Truck Check test from a credentialed tester.
