CA farmland-to-solar bill pulled 

The use of solar projects on ag land has increased over the years.

California Assemblymember Buffy Wicks (D-Oakland) pulled Assembly Bill 1156, which would have made it easier to convert farmland into use for solar projects.

The bill cleared the Senate 25-8 on Sept. 12 but still needed final Assembly approval. Wicks pulled the bill on Sept. 13, saying some “outstanding concerns” needed to be worked out with Gov. Gavin Newsom’s (D) office, according to a Politico report
