Brincefield joins Western Livestock Journal as operations and production manager

Kirby Brincefield

Western Livestock Journal is pleased to welcome Kirby Brincefield to the team as its operations and production manager. In her role, Kirby will oversee WLJ’s daily operations, enhancing the flow between the sales, production, editorial and circulation departments. She will also be key in maintaining WLJ’s marketing and social media feeds.

“Kirby brings a wealth of knowledge, experience and creativity, with an unbeatable background to our team,” said Logan Ipsen, WLJ president. “Her dedication to our industry is evident in her experience and reputation, and we are anxious to see her influence build the WLJ reach.”

Kirby grew up on a ranch near Kiowa, CO, and currently resides east of Kiowa with her husband, Cash, where they are in the process of expanding their small cow-calf operation near Agate, CO. In her previous role, Kirby was a senior graphic designer at the National Cattlemen’s Beef Association (NCBA), where she contributed to several major projects, the most notable being the marketing for their annual convention and trade show. Prior to her work at NCBA, she held roles at PrimeTime AgriMarketing and the Indiana State Fair.

Kirby coaches her local 4-H livestock judging team, using her past experience as a member of the livestock judging teams at Northeastern Junior College and Texas Tech University to mentor the youth members. In her spare time, Kirby enjoys helping her nephews with their show lambs, spending time with her family and working on their ranch.

“I am excited to be on the team,” Kirby said. “I am looking forward to helping WLJ grow and expand while maintaining its traditional roots.”

Kirby’s role began Jan. 16. She may be reached at kirby@wlj.net or 720-716-3363.
