The Bureau of Reclamation (BOR) has increased water supply allocations for Central Valley Project (CVP) contractors south of the Sacramento-San Joaquin Bay-Delta.

While north-of-Delta contractors remain at 100% of their supply, south-of-Delta irrigation contractors will now receive 55% (up from 50%), and municipal and industrial contractors will receive 80% (up from 75%) of their historical use or public health and safety needs, whichever is greater.

Acting Regional Director Adam Nickels stated the adjustment reflects increased certainty about water availability as California’s primary precipitation season ends. All other CVP allocations remain unchanged from the April 28 water supply update.
