The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) released a Finding of No Significant Impact of the environmental analysis for grazing authorization modifications, range improvements and stream restoration actions to improve Lahontan cutthroat trout habitat in northern Nevada.

The project area covers about 370 miles of occupied trout stream habitat and about 580 acres of occupied trout lake habitat, spanning 38 grazing allotments.

“BLM Nevada is excited to have this tool to move forwards with management changes that support continued livestock grazing while supporting Lahontan cutthroat trout habitat improvements,” said Kathryn Dyer, BLM Nevada range program lead.
