Meatless protein company Beyond Meat is expanding its reach with the debut of its plant-based Beyond Burger at select TGI Fridays locations in the Boston, MA, area. TGI Fridays said the meat substitute patties will be available in place of any of its existing burger sandwiches during an eight-week test. Earlier this month, Beyond Meat announced a partnership with Sysco, the nation’s largest food distributor. An announcement from Beyond Meat said that by teaming up with Sysco, it will expand its potential reach to “tens of thousands of restaurant and food service establishments across the country, enabling millions more people to experience the sizzling future of protein!”
