The Niche Meat Processor Assistance Network and Colorado State University announced a newly updated and expanded intermediate-level short course for small and midscale livestock producers.
The Western Meat School will offer an eight-week online program designed to help farmers, ranchers and butchers learn about the handling, harvesting, direct marketing and pricing of livestock.
The course takes place on Tuesdays from Oct. 11-Dec. 6 5-7 p.m. PST and costs $150. Partial scholarships are available for $75 off. More information can be found at westernmeatschool.com.
