Tyson Foods has announced all of the company’s meat and poultry plants are experiencing some impact due to the coronavirus pandemic.
In a released statement, CEO Noel White outlined steps the company is taking to maintain production.
This includes taking the temperature of workers at all locations, deep cleaning and sanitizing facilities, and working to secure more personal protective equipment.
White said all plants have experienced various levels of production impact, although one plant in Iowa temporarily closed.
Livestock intended for the Columbus Junction, IA, pork plant were diverted to other regional plants.
