Tyson Foods plans to have their Kansas beef plant up and running by January of next year, CEO Noel White said at an investor event last week.
Some processing has already resumed in an area untouched by last month’s fire.
“The volume loss has been somewhat minimal,” White said at the event, referring to shifting processing to other plants and facilities.
However, increased transportation and longer distances have added additional costs.
