Beef Bits Brief: Rancher’s Prime launches directly to consumer

Rancher’s Prime, a meat delivery service, recently launched an e-commerce site following a Kickstarter campaign.

The service partnered with producers in Texas and Kansas to offer 100 percent traceable meat “from birth to table.” The service provides USDA Prime grade products from black Angus cattle and heritage bred hogs that are grass-fed and grain finished.

“This idea started with a want to support stewards of the land who didn’t have the manpower or the technology to distribute their product on a national scale. Now, everyone can enjoy the fruits of their labor and appreciate the talent of these humble and hardworking Americans,” said Carl Ratner, co-founder and CEO of Rancher’s Prime.

Ratner says Rancher’s Prime will begin delivering meat to subscribers starting at the beginning of 2021.
