Beef Bits Brief: Pepperoni Hot Pockets recalled

Nestle Prepared Foods is recalling about 762,615 pounds of pepperoni Hot Pockets that may have been contaminated with pieces of glass and hard plastic. The frozen foods were produced from Nov. 13-16 and have a shelf life of 14 months.

USDA’s Food Safety and Inspection Service is recalling 54-oz. packages containing 12 Nestle pepperoni Hot Pockets made with pork, chicken and beef, and a garlic butter crust. The packages have a Best Before February 2022 label and are marked with the lot codes 0318544624, 0319544614, 0320544614, and 0321544614. The Hot Pockets were shipped to retail locations nationwide.

Nestle has received one report of a minor oral injury and four total consumer complaints. Consumers who have purchased the product are urged to throw it away or return it to its place of purchase.
