China has increased the number of Brazilian meat processing plants approved for export from 64 to 89.
This will include 17 beef processors, six chicken plants, one pork producer, and one donkey processor.
The newly approved sites are able to export immediately.
Beef exports from Brazil to China have increased 17 percent this year, and pork and chicken exports have soared by more than double beef exports.
Brazil may also begin auditing potential suppliers who could be preapproved for exports, if China’s sanitary and quality requirement are met.
The increased opportunity has come as a result of European markets scrutinizing potential ties to Brazilian beef production and fires in the Amazon Rainforest.
