Kelly Klein, manager of Central Livestock’s West Fargo, ND, auction yard, announced on his Facebook page the facility would be closing at the end of the month.
“It’s with a heavy heart after 16 years of auctioning and three years of managing this 85-year-old business that all will come to an end later this month. The property is being sold and torn down by new developers. I want to thank the loyal customers for having faith in me to sell their livestock. Over the years, I’ve met a ton of the industry’s finest producers, cattle buyers, sale barn workers and made many life-long memories and friends,” Klein wrote in his post.
Klein was unavailable for comment. There is no announcement on the company’s website of the closure, however, there are no auctions listed after November.
