Beef Bits brief: Cattle corral car thief

Curious cows can cause consternation.

Cattle may have helped Sanford, FL, police and sheriff’s deputies in Seminole County capture a car thief after she bailed out of a stolen vehicle and ran across a pasture.

The “chase” was caught on night vision video shot by the sheriff’s department helicopter officers and shows the curious cattle frolicking behind the woman as she hoofed her way across the pen. When the car thief reached the other side of the pen she was apprehended by deputies.

A neighbor told local news reporters that the cattle probably weren’t chasing the woman, but likely just wanted “treats” that they are accustomed to when humans are nearby.
