Long-time beef advocate and Red Bluff, CA, community supporter Jean Barton was recently recognized by the Red Bluff-Tehama County Chamber of Commerce with the Gene Penne Award for Business and Community Leadership. Reacting to the award in her regular column in the Red Bluff Daily News, Barton commented, “What a surprise and honor to receive the prestigious Gene Penne Award for Business and Community Leadership at the 102nd Red Bluff-Tehama County Chamber of Commerce Dinner.” She continued, “Being a member of Tehama County CowBelles and CattleWomen has given me an opportunity to represent the agricultural community at national beef industry meetings, as well as state and local events.”
