The Colorado Secretary of State’s Title Board approved language for a 2026 proposed ballot measure in Colorado asking voters to repeal wolf reintroduction in the state.

The language for Proposal #10 would ask, “Shall there be a change to the Colorado Revised Statutes ending any further reintroductions of gray wolves by December 31, 2026?”

The measure is backed by Colorado Advocates for Smart Wolf Policy, which says it is “dedicated to advocating for the end of wolf reintroduction in Colorado.” Through its website, smartwolfpolicyco.com, the group intends to educate the public, raise funds and gather support for the ballot initiative. In order to make it on the ballot, the group will need to obtain 124,238 valid signatures.
