Texas A&M AgriLife announced Jan. 15 that it has hired Jennifer Yezak to lead AgriLife’s extensive agriculture and natural resources policy agenda.
“Jennifer brings many years of agricultural policy and government affairs experience to the table and is prepared to advocate for Texas A&M AgriLife with Congress and federal agencies,” said Patrick Stover, Ph.D., the vice chancellor and dean of the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences and director of Texas A&M AgriLife Research, in the announcement.
Yezak was described as an experienced public servant in agriculture policy and most recently served as deputy clerk for the U.S. House Committee on Agriculture.
Previously, she worked for the USDA for 15 years.
“I am very excited about this opportunity to help Texas A&M AgriLife achieve its goals at the federal level and support Texas agriculture and all those involved in ensuring safe, healthy food systems and conserving our natural resources,” Yezak said in the announcement.
